Daisy LouAnn Canady was born on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2009 at 5:37 pm central time at Vanderbilt Hospital, Nashville, TN. She was 9 lbs, 3 oz and 21 1/4 inches long. Labor and delivery went smoothly and quickly. We arrived at the hospital at 10 am at 4 cm, and 7.5 hours later she arrived! I am so happy and thankful that we were able to deliver naturally with no medication or interventions.

Here we are at 40 weeks! I've started doing a few things here and there to try to encourage Daisy to enter the world. Physically, I feel fine. Really the main reason I want her to come now is because my mom is here waiting for her, and my dad will be taking a week off of work next week to come down and see her...and she's not here yet! I just don't want my dad to have to go back home to work

I finished Daisy's blanket yesterday! Isn't it so fun? I love it. The fleece is a different kind of fleece than I've used before, but I'm not sure what it's called. It's a lot softer than other fleece. The only thing is it seems to have a tendency to shed little frayed edges. I washed it so that seems to have taken care of it for the time being.Josh seems to have become obsessed with taking

Daisy and I had a check up on Tuesday. Everything is still good. The midwife said if I go to full term that Daisy will be a good sized baby. Josh and I had quite the revelation this week when we realized our little girl will be joining us in roughly two months! We are starting to make lists of things that need to be completed before her arrival. Josh's sister Missy gave us tubs of little girl clothes that I have started to go through. Josh and I had our 20 week ultrasound on Monday and it was amazing, to say the least. We got to see our little girl moving around and being all cute. Everything looks great and we are totally ecstatic to meet our Daisy LouAnn!!
